Manitowoc County Hunter Safety Courses

Persons completing any of the below mentioned courses will receive a distinctive embroidered emblem and a hunter education certificate. This certificate is a lifetime certificate required for hunting in many states and Canadian providences.  Classes will cover responsibilities of hunting, firearm safety in the home and afield, knowledge of firearms and equipment, management of resources, marksmanship and outdoor skills.  Interested persons should contact the instructor from the following courses approximately 30 days before the course begins.

Manitowoc Rifle and Pistol Club
Courses in April and September.

Fall hunter safety course will begin with an orientation night on Monday, August 25th at 6:00 p.m. Both the student and a parent must attend this meeting.  The rest of the dates for the course are: September 15, 16, 18, 19, and 20.  Weekday classes run from 6 – 9 p.m. and the Saturday, Sept. 20 class is from 9 a.m. to noon.

Two internet courses in March and April.

Maribel Sportsmen's Club

 Will be holding a DNR certified hunter safety course. Classes will be on Thursday’s Aug. 28 and Sept. 4, both from 6-9 p.m. and finish up on Saturday, Sept. 6 from 8 a.m. until 5 p.m.

Westshore Sportsmen's Club

Will be holding it’s hunter safety course beginning on August 20th with an orientation night when both the student and the parent attend. The remaining class dates are September 3, 6, 8, and 10. Weekday classes are from 6 to 9 p.m., and the Saturday, September 6th class is from 8 a.m – noon.

Reedsville Sportsmen's Club

Fall hunter safety classes will begin on September 3, with registration from 6 – 6:30 with class to follow.  The other class dates are Sept. 7, 8, 10, 14, and 15. Weekday classes run from 6:30 – 9 p.m. and Sunday classes run from 8 a.m. until noon.
