HUNTER SAFETY COURSES

Manitowoc County Hunter Safety Courses

Persons completing any of the below mentioned courses will receive a distinctive embroidered emblem and a hunter education certificate. This certificate is a lifetime certificate required for hunting in many states and Canadian providences.  Classes will cover responsibilities of hunting, firearm safety in the home and afield, knowledge of firearms and equipment, management of resources, marksmanship and outdoor skills.  Interested persons should contact the instructor from the following courses approximately 30 days before the course begins.

Manitowoc Recreation Department
Two internet courses in March and April.

Westshore Sportsman’s Club / Manitowoc Rifle & Pistol is offering a Hunter Safety Class.

Class will be held at Manitowoc Rifle and Pistol Club. Cost is $10 per student.

 The class will be a total of 5 classes, three (3) hour each starting on March 1, 2010 The March 1st class will be from 6:00-9:00 P.M. and this will be Orientation night.  Both parents and students are required to attend the orientation. 

The remaining 4 class dates will be on March 22, 24, 27, and 29. Class time for the March 22, 24 and 29th class will be from 6.00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M. Class on Saturday March 27, 2010 will be from 8:00 AM until 12 Noon.

Parents are invited to attend.

Maribel Sportsmen’s Club will hold their hunter safety course on Thursday’s, April 1 and 8 from 6-9 p.m. and finish up on Saturday, April 10 from 8 a.m. until 5 p.m. Cost is $10 per person. Pre-registration is required by calling Bob Schuh at (920) 682-3106.

 

Francis Creek Sportsmen’s Club is holding their hunter safety course on Thursday’s April 22 and 29 from 6-9 p.m. and finish up on Saturday, May 1 from 8 a.m. until 5 p.m. Cost is $10 per person. Pre-registration is required by calling Bob Schuh at (920) 682-3106.

 

Maribel Sportsmen’s Club is holding a bow hunter safety course on Tuesday’s May 4 and 11 and Thursday, May 13 all from 6-9 p.m. Cost is $10 per person. Pre-registration is required by calling Bob Schuh at (920) 682-3106.
